It would appear that The Magellan Cloud ended her days as a coal lighter. The Daily Telegraph , Saturday 27 June 1891, page 4 Notes:
The lighter Magellan Cloud, with 100 tons of coal transhipped from the barque Sharpshooter, capsized in Moselle Bay and sunk, only the tops of her masts being visible. A different publication noted that All hands were saved. |
